"Though I began practicing yoga several years before I met Traci Jo Lee, I credit her with rejuvenating my stagnant practice and helping me cultivate and sustain an active, thriving, one. She lit a fire in me to learn more. I recognized after my very first class with Traci that what she teaches runs deeper than just postures and poses. I found myself eager not just to attend another class, but to expand my knowledge of the practice of yoga and my role in that practice. I have now been a student of Traci’s for almost 4 years. Her dedication to and love for the practice of yoga is contagious. This is one of many reasons why I have continued to practice with Traci, despite having other studios in my immediate area. I would characterize Traci’s teaching and mentoring style as supportive an inclusive. It is not uncommon to arrive to one of her classes and find both novice and seasoned practitioners in attendance. The ease with which she is able to direct a group of individuals with different needs and experience is a testament to her talents as a teacher. Whether new to the practice or a veteran, she is able to teach a single class so that all students feel empowered and safe. It is clear that she takes a sincere interest in her students’ physical and contemplative well being. By way of an example, I am currently pregnant with my first child and was initially concerned about how to best continue my regular practice wisely and safely. Traci has gone above and beyond to help me accomplish this endeavor. She has served as a valuable resource both in and outside of class to help me modify my practice. I feel strong and supported.
Traci is one of the most knowledgeable and skilled teachers I have had the pleasure to practice with and learn from. She consistently empowers her students to seek answers and listen to their bodies, while ensuring proper alignment and technique. Her focus on not only asana, but all eight limbs of yoga, provide the necessary scaffolding to transition students from the act of taking a yoga class to developing a yoga practice that is uniquely their own. In this way Traci creates a sense of community among her students that allows them to thrive and push the limits of what they thought they could accomplish, both physically and mentally. I am deeply appreciative of the role she has played in helping me to forge my own yoga path. If you have not had the opportunity to study with Traci I highly recommend you do."
